Im aware there's a method to turn the regular sa-21 strip adapter into the sa-30 by soldering two points on the circuit board however I recall another method that just used tape and wire. I unfortunately cant find the link to that anymore and would really appreciate if someone who has done can chime in on how it was done?

The more the merrier. What type of wire do you use out of curiosity?

I had an electronics project kit with several kinds of short wires. I picked the thinnest wire from the kit and stripped off the insulation, then taped it in place. But any small diameter conductor will work.

That project was the best 2 cents I ever spent! Scanning a whole roll in one go is a real time saver.

I will admit it took some courage to turn the scanner on after putting in the jumper, but it has worked now for several years without any problems (just always remember to open the back door of the scanner, or things can go poorly).

No worries, the Nikon scanner was designed for fool proof.
I forgot to open the rear door several times and Nikon software just showed a notification then it will reject the film out. No harms.

For anyone else looking to do this mod in the future, I bought some 30 awg silicon wire from amazon and stripped the insulation off and it worked perfectly. Only took a few dollars and 5 minutes.
