The sketch artist is a ubiquitous feature of American courtrooms. How come you always see these sketches instead of photographs? Will someone please explain this to me? I would be very grateful.
I was born in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1970. There is a very famous murder case involving a man named Roger Wheeler who was killed at our nowadays PGA tour golf course. They say Whitey Bulger did it. This case has been a part of just about every Tulsan who can remember it. They caught him last night. There are a plethora of old images of him...many age enhanced photos...etc. But the best image we get of what he really looks like today is a sketch! Film didn't kill the crayon did it?
So what exactly is the deal on making photography in a courtroom? I know they do it...I know they make videos even... ??????
