Wanted to share some impressions of a very exciting event that took place yesterday in the Ruhr-area, Germany. The A40, one of the most crowded motorways in Germany was closed for one day and a cultural picnic took place. On a lenght of 60km 20.000 tables were lined up and people organized a breakfast and were encouraged to show some "Ruhr-culture". On the other lane cycling and scating was allowed. 2.5 million estimated visitors were there.
Couldn't take many photos because my daughter reminded me that it was a father-daughter trip and not a father-camera trip
It was a very nice and rare event.
