cv 21 hood question

how do i get it off?

it screws on and then tightens with the small set screw.

to remove it, i would think it's the reverse, loosen the set screw and unscrew the hood.

but mine will not UNscrew.

is there a trick?

Don't loosen the set screw and just turn the hood counterclockwise. I think the screw is just for alignment.
