I was all set to finally order one of these when I saw they'd sold out. It was going to be a bit of a gamble for my purposes... but I still see no other solution and plan on getting one 2nd hand. Unless... someone here convinces me that it surely wouldn't work anyway.
so of course I wanted to break somone's rules and mount a little flash on the shoe. The viewfinder would fall between the 2 shoe mounts so I could put the flash (very light little vivitar) on the stronger shoe. Then on the other shoe I'd mount my Nikon varifocal finder. I just bought an 85mm lens for this set-up and then saw the shoes were sold out. If anyone has a "type C" they aren't getting any use out of I would love to take it off your hands. Also if anyone can provide the exact distance between the 2 shoe mounts (from midpoint to midpoint) that would also tell me if this is a worthwhile pursuit. And yeah there's no way I wanna shoot stuff with this camera and a bracket mounted flash. Thanks.
