Hi all,
I recently acquired a Voigtlander Spirit Level in what looked like mint shape.
Upon trying to use it I found that the fluid level in the bulls eye inside the casing was really low on fluid. It makes it pretty much useless as a level.
Has anyone else had this happen and if so what did you do for a repair? Is there an easily sourced replacement part?
They are so few and far between for purchase I'd like to get this one in working condition.
Thanks

Sorry I don't know, all I can say is the bubble on mine looks a bit bigger than it did when new, it's now about 10 or 15% larger than the red circle and I'm pretty sure it matched it originally so it could well be evaporating, there are screws that look like you could access the plastic bit if you're brave enough ... perhaps e-mail a dealer?

Oh, yikes!
I had better look at mine - haven't used it for over a year now....

I pulled the plastic part out of it, measured it and bought a replacement on eBay based on the size, and then scraped out the old glue and glued in the new one. It works perfectly and after over a year the replacement has not leaked yet like the original.
Cheers,
Rob
