Hand or stand camera, so you didn't have to have one. The reflecting viewfinder probably flips for vertical or horizontal. I had a whole plate Premo like that, but can't imagine actually using it handheld; they were usually 5x7 and smaller. Plus, carrying glass plates on a bike. People were hardier then, though I have taken a Cirkut camera on my bike a couple times.
