I was pleased to buy one of his overhauled cameras a year ago. I thought someone here may want to take a look.

Thanks for the temptation. It’s 3mm bigger than my iiib, though, so it must be “too big”.

Mine was also "mint minus", and was a bit less, so prices are rising!

Looks like he recently sold a freshly-serviced IIIc "stepper" for $365...

[insert pithy phrase here]
I've always been curious to have a stepper.
Whoever bought that IIIc, they will be happy. Don made my other Barnacks into such nice machines -- even when I just sent them in for a simple little fix. The camera always came back running much smoother and looking much nicer. He just can't let things leave his shop in poor condition if he can help it (or so I imagine).
Times have been tough in my household since late last year, but I'm still going to send Don a couple things to "fix". One is my Tele-Elmar 135/4 with a very slightly sloppy focus ring. Quoted me $155 to tighten it up, which sounds a little steep if it were anyone else, but I know he will also ensure the lens is calibrated to factory standards (for accurate RF focusing) and he will probably address any other little issues he finds without even mentioning it, or charging me. So it becomes a bargain

Hopefully, when we pay well for services (or goods), one of the differences is "attention to detail"... something that frequently goes wanting in today's society.
It took me a long time to start farming-out my auto maintenance & repairs to a garage... I found a good one local to me, based on recommendations from satisfied long-term customers.
Sometimes I wince when I get the bill, but I've never had to go back because the job wasn't done right.
I have a "stepper"... I don't know that mine it works any better / worse than my other screw-mounts, but it is a neat camera in the little design details. I'm glad I have one.
