Hi
Just picked up a black Ultron 35 1.7 in (what appeared to be) almost perfect condition...
I'm now a bit worried about a couple of things and i am sure someone here will know more about it.
The aperture ring is smooth until it gets to about 3.5 where it becomes quite a lot more stiff. About as stiff as my pentax 50mm 1.7 i have on a mv-1. I am pretty sure this is not normal so am wondering why it might be and if it is more of a problem than simply its 'feel' to use. Would it be easilly fixed?
Also, the aperture ring does not seem to lie parallel to the focus ring, and seems to get further away from right to left when viewing with the hood at the top. I this normal and part of the design/operation of the lens? - http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg6/seroeface/Screenshot2011-06-15at155705.png
Thanks for any help!

Yup that looks odd. The real question is does it take good photos and can you use it. If the answer is yes then who cares?

That is one weird-looking aperture ring.. Return or not depends on the price you got the lens for - it's obviously a defect, but if it works and it was cheap, then why not keep it?
