Dan Black Leica Dealer?

I emailed him about five months ago about a Summicron 90 he had listed in his website and he replied within hours. Maybe your e-mail is getting filtered. It happens to most of us.

Good luck!

I've tried to call him atleast once a day for nearly two weeks and have left two or three messages on his ansereing machine with no response.

I've used Dan for years and have found him to be one of the best to deal with whether buying or selling equipment. Sorry you're having difficulty reaching him, I assume he's out of town. I spoke to him maybe 2-3 weeks ago by phone.

The danblackleica.com is the phone number and email that I've been trying and cant reach him. There's no indication of being on vacation or out of town from his generic voice greeting. I hope nothing has happened to him.

Extended vacation financed with the sale of Leica equipment? I wonder how he does that... ;confused:

In any event, I'm glad to hear the news! :)

i am pretty sure Dan is retired and does the Leica thinig as a hobby. And for some extra income too---in any event he is a true gentleman and great to deal with. He was or maybe still is a Leica dealer.

Seven or eight years ago I bought a Rollei 3.5F from Dan Black. Smooth transaction. Item just as described. I wouldn't hesitate to buy equipment from him.

Has anyone had dealings with Dan Black the Leica dealer? I've been trying to reach him to purchase a camera for almost two weeks with no luck. I've emailed and left messages on his voice mail and have had no response. His phone is still connected so I don't think he has gone out of business.

Yes, I've dealt with Dan Black for a long time but not in the last couple of years...I know him from the Second Sunday Camera Show in the Fire House in Wayne , N.J., that may or may not still be operating...He is very reliable, has been an authorized Leica dealer and has had a Web Site...His phone number, which I got from my 2002 McKeown's is 610-664-7345. His email: mrdblack@aol.com. He was about 65 years old when I knew him...I feel sure that many others on this site also know him...I hope he's o.k...regards, bob
