dante stella: TMX to Neopan 1600

I was spending some time on the dante stella site last night and I came across this: http://www.dantestella.com/technical/tmx.html
I've never heard of adding glycin and sodium carbonate to Diafine, but it looks and sounds promising. Anyone have any experience w/this?
