i am unashamedly using this forum , through my new attachment to Zorkievfed land , to try to work out how Asdee dictates stuff ... in comparison with real people .

i find that knowing the date a camera was made is important to me - my Kiev 2 and 3 being 1955 & 4 respectively ... and most of my Zorkifeds being from 1952 to 1958

it's a joy to be able to date cameras by the serial no - or the Leica listings - something impossible with my Minoltas [ though my SR 7v and SR 1s were only made for a short time before the SRT bounded in .

[ Even my Leicas IIIc / IIIf cameras are comfortably bracketed from 1947 to 1952 ]

Also i am influenced by the actual serial no of the camera - though none of mine have any special nos ...

... and whether it is the first batch made [ Leica II / Leica IIIf black dial / Zenit 1 ] etc .

It seems that 1947 to 1957 are the comfortable years , because around '57 '' I'' began to be less able to take new stuff in ... or perhaps became increasingly aware of my '' other stupid '' [ now ''otherwise ! '' ]

None of this has much to do with just having them around me , but something draws me to cameras with special dates or serial nos ...

so , the Goddess knows why I have so many ID compromised Leica-ised Zorki 1 and Zorki S '' bitsas '' with no possibility of an identity ... but that also is something which i can Idee with !

is this ASdee crazee - or can real people understand / suffer from it ?!
