I recently acquired a Franka-Solida IIIe with a Schneider-Kreutznach Radionar f2.9 80mm lens and a Prontor S shutter. I can only find the approximate date of lens manufacture insofar as Ser. No: 3,000,000 starts at May 1952 and Ser. No: 4,000,000 starts at October 1954.
My serial number is 3771265. Is it reasonable to presume that manufacture was reasonably linear (so many units manufactured per month) and that I could find the month mine was manufactured by interpolation, ie: if month 1, May 1952 equates to Ser. Nos: 3,000,000 to 3,034,483; June 1952 equates to Ser. Nos: 3,034,484 to 3,068,966 etc...?
