Got Nikon Kogaki Zoom Finder.
It is near impossible to install in the accessory show, or remove it for that matter! Is it typical, or just the my finder to have fitting problem?
Need to decide whether to keep it or return.
Getting less and less lucky on eBay, I guess.

Using different cameras and different shoe mounted accessories, determine if the issue is with your camera or the just acquired finder.

I have found that even some of the Leica finders can fit tight on Leica cameras. Sometimes you just have to "wiggle" them in and out and they become a bit easier to fit and remove. A fine line between good fit and too loose fit so be careful and patient if you modify and it will all be good.

Two short slots are cut into the shoe of the Varifocal finder. They can be tweaked a bit in or out to adjust fit. One of mine is bent in the other out and both fit the same on me III.

My Nikon Vari-Focal is a snug fit on my screw-mount Leicas, but wiggling it into and out of the shoe seems to work.
I usually leave it installed on my user camera, currently a III-c.
