deleting photos from one's folder/gallery?

I have looked a few times, and I'm just missing it...

I can upload, I can delete an entire folder, but how do I delete a single photo from a folder?

In "My Photos"on the "Gallery" page, click on the relevant image, then use the "Edit photo" option under "Admin Options"... Delete is at the bottom of the edit photo page (check the box)

I have been wishing for an easier way to delete many photos from the Gallery. There should be a way by which we see all posted images and then have the choice to click on as many as we want to have deleted at the same time. Why isn't this possible here?
