Can you dev Delta 3200 in Diafine and if so what EI do you shoot it at? Would you knock it down to 1250 like T-Max 3200?

Delta 3200 shot at 2000 per my box.

I have done it and got pretty good results. In my opinion Diafine controlled the grain and contrast pretty well.

Several years ago David Carper sent me a few rolls of 3200 for me to test on Diafine.
I ran a standard test shooting walls and some scenes in the 400-6400 range, then developed 3+3 in Diafine.
I got 1200-1600 out of it only.

DDX, Clayton F76+, or Xtol would do a much better job allowing you to go up to 12800 or so

The best developer for 3200 is DDX in my experience, and I shot it at 3200. Not bad for that speed. Quite good, actually. With Diafine, however, you actually lose a stop or so from what I've heard/read.

I checked my Diafine box and it doesn't list Ilford 3200. Let me know how you like it, please. I have four roll of 3200 I haven't used since I ran out of DDX so I'm in the same boat. Excellent developer DDX is but a bit pricey and can be hard to get sometimes. I switched to Diafine and Rodinal from the one shots (well, Rodinal is one shot but you can develop lots of rolls at 1:50). When I use the 3200, it will be Diafine, so I would be interested in your thoughts. There's nothing on Massive Dev Chart for this combo either.

By the way, my personal favorite is Tri-X in Diafine at 1000-1600 for high-speed.
Ah good ole Tri-X... looks great in everything. I think you can actually soup that stuff in pepper pot soup and it would look okay.

My box doesn't have 3200 on it either, though Rover's mystical box does (?). I haven't bought any 3200 as yet as I wanted to check out the 3200/Diafine response before going for it.

I'm mostly using FP4 and HP5 in D76 and Tri-X in D76/Diafine.
