Desert island RF 50mm m-lens shot at f2 (showcase pics please)

Have been browsing through a lot of older topics regarding and showcasing beautifull rendering of vintage glass. At the same time new brands are entering the market with new(old) designs. Many of you have multiple 50mm lenses maybe even ranging from f0,95.

Not all lenses perform great wide open. So i thought what if we even it out and stick the F-stop at 2.

Which lens would be your favorit performer and will render the image the nicest to your liking at F2. Which would be your desert island lens glued at F2?

Please share pics shot at f2 as ‚proof of your pudding‘ and tell us why/what stands out for you (over the other 50s in your collection.

Ltm or M mount or converted. All good is good.

(I have a 50 Summar, Summarit 50 1.5, 50 Summicron and Millennium nikkor 50 f1.4 + amedeo. Will have to do some testing myself too but will be back with my own choice)

I'm not sticking to f2. Not practical. Just as lens been only good at f2.
Here is also big differences how lenses rendering on film bw and film color and on digital.

If something universal as I have mentioned it would be Cron v3.
But I'm keping J-3 and Canon LTM 50 1.8. Good performers @f2 across film and digital.

I use a 50mm Collapsible Summicron f2. It can flare (like all Leica lenses). It's mint,UVa filter always!
sadly it might be replaced/or add a newer lens. Come Winter, It's jammed! I had it serviced 3 times for this! I quit!
It has lovely colors and BW! Finding one with no cleaning scratches a Herculean task!

No question: it's a Summar.

If I could only own one lens forever, it'd be the Summar. It's not the sharpest, but it's got a charm and a character that I just don't get out of Sonnars, Jupiters, Summicrons, Canons, etc.

The bokeh is a little wild, sure, but I love the way it renders things, and the drop-off into the out of focus areas is weirdly pleasing, too:



And it does a lovely job at portraits:



The catch? You need a clean one - and you need to keep it clean. And use a hood! The SOOMP you're supposed to use with it is massive, and the FOOKH for the Summaron is a little too short and won't stop all the flare. I recommend the FISON, no matter what Erik says. Works a treat.

Mine's immaculate, too. I was having the same problems so I paid Skyllaney to totally strip-clean it and replace all the original lubricants with modern ones. Now: no problems at all.

Find a better technician!

lessee: if I participate in photos for this thread, I have four lenses that can achieve f/2: Summilux-DG 25mm f/1.4 ASPH, Summilux 35mm f/1.4 (1972 vintage), Summicron-M 50mm f/2 (~2014 vintage), and Voigtländer Heliar Classic 50mm f/1.5 VM (bought a few months ago, new). I tend to use all four of these at about f/2.8 or so, most of the time, so I have virtually no photos to show at f/2 right now. ...

Oh wait: I used to have the Zuiko Digital 50mm f/2 and used it with my Olympus E-1 ... From 2010, wide open:
