I've read that development time should be increased by 50% per stop when processing pushed film. It seems to work reasonably well on the few rolls I've tried. Now how do I compensate for pulling the film?
Thanks for any advice on the subject..

It will depend on the film-developer combination. Normal pushing or pulling are described on Kodak technical information sheets, for Tri-X, Tmax, PlusX, D76, Xtol... But for other Film or Developers I recomend you Digitaltruth web site. You can also seek some info at APUG forum.
What are you planing to pull?

Pulling forte 400

I've been fooling around w/ fotrepan 400 and wanted have considered trying the pull. I didn't like the extreme grain I produced at 800 in D76.

Steeve, I suggest you use Xtol if you can find some. Hi dilutions even with D-76 get very low grain.
I like like it better lot of grain with high acutance, but I cant find on the local market Rodinal.
