Did we get a bit more than what we bargained for?

We (at least a lot of us) begged for a way to use our M mount lens on a digital rig. We got the Epson (amazing how it has held up) then the M8. But since then it has been an avalanche of bodies and models. Oly, Panasonic, Sony, etc., with others to follow and of course, the M9. I, for one think it is great, but somehow wonder if all of them can succeed.

The only one I would care about is one that fully replaces the M film camera, M9. And I find too many things not to my liking with it.
