Is there any difference in features between the Panasonic or Voigtlander adapters for MFT -> Leica M?
The press release on the "LUMIX DMW-MA2M" states "These adaptors also allow users to use the movable MF assist function, which enlarges the selected area when focusing manually."
Is this any different to the Voigtlander adapter?
Thanks

To the general question about differences between these 2 adapters- the answer is "I do not know". I have the Voigtlander adapter from Cameraquest, and it seems to work fine.
As to ..."These adaptors also allow users to use the movable MF assist function, which enlarges the selected area when focusing manually."..?
No, the adapter shpuld make no difference to this, as it is a camera function., and has nothing to do with the linkage to the lens.
Hope this helps.

This is actually an interesting question. I was also wandering if either of these have this function.
To be specific. I think it could be possible that the adapter was able to recognize if the focus is changing on M and LTM lenses the same way as the rangefinder does and translate it electronically to the camera. This would enable to activate the MF assist automatically as with the original electronic lenses by turning the focus ring. So you wouldn't have to push any buttons to turn it on.
Is it so on either of these adapters?
This is something I imagine Panasonic could provide that would be different than any third party adapter besides design.

I have the Rayqual adapter, claimed to be of very high quality and the best, but there's really no evidence proofing it's better than the Panasonic and Voigtlander one. Personally I think all 3 of these adapters are of high quality, and I would only stay away from the generic ones from ebay.
I'm 99% sure every adapter is capable of "MF assist", I figured you will need to press the rear dial instead of scrolling it.
Hope this helps.

Do any of these work with the Leica 50mm DR? My Voigtlander does not.
