Hi all,

My Yashica GSN has, per diagnosis in a previous thread, dirty contacts leading to the slow/over light. I saw on the yashica-guy website that there is a tutorial on how to remove the top to clean said contacts, but is it worth possibly wrecking the camera? As it stands, the yellow light comes on as long as the film is cocked. This has, in the past led to the battery completely draining because the light had been on for three days. Now I know this, so it doesn't happen, but the light still comes on when I'm getting ready for a shot. I almost want to just remove the contacts from the lights, but that could also get hairy.

Thanks,
koniczech

Ask Yashica-Guy himself. He seems very knowledgeable. Plus, he seems to be an all around good guy. Not too long ago, I gave him a somewhat obscure model that he did not have in his research collection. He was very grateful, offering to pay for shipping.
