Do photos in threads die as they get old?
I'm using Firefox and many of the old pictures (Show Us Your.... whatever) are gone.
Anybody else notice this?

Yes I've noticed it. I've also noticed that the formatting of older posts also gets trashed, so you don't know who is quoting who. My guess is that once a thread/post (not sure which) reaches a certain age threshold, the text gets archived and the photos and formatting get dumped.

I think it's when guys link their photos from flickr or elsewhere, then later they move their photos around, the link gets broken.

I link a lot of my photos on tinypic.com. As long as they are accessed, they seem to stay, but if they go for some unknown time without getting hit, they go bibi.

I noticed that all the pictures are gone from LeicaTom's thread on wartime Leicas. Too bad.
