While Bellamy (JapanCameraHunter) makes film containers for travel, they're pretty big and bulky, not to mention I don't need to have 10 rolls on me for most day/weekend trips. I scoured the internet trying to find something smaller, say for 4 rolls, but couldn't find anything.

A trip to Joanne Fabrics with the girlfriend led me to a thread box that holds spools of thread for a measly $2. I grabbed one thinking it might work and voila, perfect! Well, nearly perfect. There were some additional interior dividers since spools of thread are apparently smaller so out came the dremel to make slots on the inside larger, some gaffer tape to make the exterior black, and a sticker on the front for the hell of it. For $2 and an hour of my time, it fits my needs perfectly.

After the holidays when I have more time I plan to clean up the cuts to the inner plastic and properly wrap the exterior to make it look more 'professional'. If I'm really ambitious, I'll scan the measurements and have it 3D printed. All in all, if you're looking for a cheap film container, check out fabric stores!
