My friend's dad is an old timer photographer and last year he purchased M8 for a trip. The camera itself ended up not being used after a trip cause he suffered heart attack not long after the trip. So my friend offers me for the camera which roughly only has 100 actuations with latest firmware 2.0 and two lenses which bought brand new as well 35 asph cron and 50 cron with both 6 bit coded and never even been opened SF24D flash, and some other accs (filters, case, books) all for "$6000".
Lately i've been irritating myself to get digital RF and past weeks has been too late on R-D1 for sale here on the forum so I think this is my other chances to step in. If you guys think this is a good deal I will for sure consider getting this kit. Thanks all and have a nice day!.

for coded lenses, that's a bargain.

Looks a little quirky, there are 3 lens cases pictured, only 2 lenses described. The seller talks as if it's too much camera but it has 1 day old firmware installed. I would do some more research into the set.

IgorCamera just took in a Minty R-D1, but the price of the M8 kit seems reasonable considering the prices of new Leitz glass.
That said, I kind of backed into Leica Digital because of the glass I had picked up with some previous deals where there were lenses in the bag with a repairable M body I could move along. Lots of luck involved going that route, this is a kit of new stuff, perhaps still under warranty?
I do not think Igor is going to put the Epson up soon, but if you make an offer, he will get back to you, he is really busy, will be in Detroit Sunday for a show. I think it is close to as new condition.
FYI of course, but you usually regret the cameras you do not buy. ;-)
Regards, John

I think it depends on how much trust you can put in your friend. M8 warranties are not transferable. You need someone who will help with the warranty if you have a problem.
I also find it odd that the person updated the firmware to 2.0 if they don't know anything about the camera.
