When Arista LegacyPro was discontinued I bought lots of it. And then when Arista Premium 100 was discontinued I bought lots of those too. So with my normal stash of b/w films I have something like 800 rolls in the fridge and freezer. I strictly shoot b/w film and no digital so if stopped buying fresh film I can finish all in about 5 years.
Then I had a serious illness and couldn't shoot for 2 years. I am shooting regularly again as before. Recently I bought a hundred rolls of Arista Premium 400. I am wondering should I shoot the fresh film I just bought or should I put those in the fridge and shoot the oldest expired film first? The LegacyPro films are dated 2011 and while they will last a long time I may not want to risk it but if I shot the oldest film first then I will always be shooting expired film.

I'd say shoot up the older film first. When I load my freezer, I put the fresh stuff underneath, and the older on top.
