Has anyone ever used a CV Nokton 50/1.5 with a Leica Screwthread body, l plan to use one with my IIIg, l realise that weight, balance and ergonomics may be issues but l really fancy this combo as a low light set up. Any images of Noktons mounted on screwthread bodies gratefully anticipated, cheers for any help

I was just shocked to see one of the new ones seemingly mounted on a IIIC body on the head bartender's site, but only had the link -- no idea what the page was so I couldn't find any info.
Not sure if it's photoshopped but it would be great fun to use... Bummer -- I'd love to have one of the new body ones in LTM since I'm reluctant to lose the flexibility of going only M-mount. The chrome looks great (and while we're dealing only in hypotheticals, a black paint over brass LTM-mount one would be wonderful).
edit: On second thought, perhaps it's an original one from Voigtlander (not CV)... *sigh*

The LTM CV Nokton is a light lens in weight and like I said before, it will work on the IIIg much better than any other previous LTM Leica because of the large VF and higher top on that camera than on previous Barnacks, and it is one hell of a good lens to boot.
(BTW, I don't own a IIIg, but I did at one time. It is only Leica I ever got rid of because it was not bare bones enough for the Barnack experience. )

Great choice of a lens and pairs wonderfully with the lllg.
Check out the fabulous photo work of our own Helen Hill to see what that 50 mil CV Nokton lens can do. ( but then again Helen can get great results from any make of lens

still LOVE the LTM version...even though it's not as beautiful in build as the new M version and does not focus as close... 0.9 as opposed to 0.7 ... the ltm still rules

I love to use the CV 50 1.5 on my Leica iiif, it covers some of the rangefinder window, but doesn't affect the focussing.
