Does AR-3 cable work on Leica M?

I need a remote shutter cable for my M6 and M7. I wonder if Nikon AR-3 work on them.

(I used to buy a AR-2 last year but it seemed that I went for the wrong one...)

The AR-3 will work fine.

Any mechanical cable release, with Compur screw thread, work fine on any Leica M camera. Personally, i use an Hama Professional cable release.
