I bought a cased OM10 at a boot fair for £2.50 in lovely condition .
I did fork out a little for batteries [ same as my currently silent XD7 ] and the shutter works .
However it seems to be stick on a slow speed , not altering to aperture changes , so I guess it's dead .
The clean lens with slight dint to the filter ring will be dedicated to my Panasonic G1 'cos of the frontal aperure ring , and the old style Olymous strap has been fitted to the old style lugs on the G1 .
A useful donor at £2.50 , but it would have been great if it had been working properly .
Now I just need to find a working Nikon F for £5 or so LOL .

Great little camera - my first proper camera many years ago. I still have it.

Is it set on "Manual Adapter"? The little rotating switch - the finger tab hides in front of the film transport lever. That normally should rest at "Auto" but it often moves to "Manual Adapter" when setting the iso. If it is pointing to "Manual Adapter", and you don't have an accessory manual adapter control fitted (on the front of the body to the left of the lens) then the camera will only fire at 1/60th - the flash sync speed.

Edit - if the body is really dead, it will be very useful to provide a donor prism for an OM2 owner whose camera is suffering from prism foam rot (the foam packing around the prism rots and damages the reflective coating on the prism).
