Hi!
I´ve tried to take my LS 4000 home from the office to scan some material on my MacBook (Intel-based). I use Nikon Scan 4. However; it won´t work - obviously a software problem, since it all functions perfectly on the office G5 PowerMac. :bang:
So, any suggestions? Rumors of upgrade by Nikon? Is there any other software sloution (preferably free) that would solve this?
Grateful for any answer/reaction.

Very helpful, but it doesn't really answer the question. VueScan does not quite have the "ICE" mode like the Nikon software does. VueScan will do the job, and in some cases even better, but when it comes to spot removal (i.e. "ICE" vs VueScan's IR channel spot removal algorithm) and automatic color film adjustment.ChrisL said:Vuescan at www.hamrick.com
I have the 5000 Coolscan, and I'm very nervous when the time comes to forcibly upgrade from XP or MacOS 9/10
