Does anyone know if such a service exists?
I often frequent IQ Lab. They are down to Sigma Scan. They used to have Drum Scan, but they got rid of it claiming customers are more satisfied with Sigma Scan. IQ Lab is probably the most professional place for film in Thailand.

I don't think there is anybody with a drum scanner in BKK, although I may be wrong. In a way it is true that a lower end scanner may be ok for some jobs. A drum scanner tends to give oversharpened results, particularly if not handled properly and few know how to do it. If teh negative is not perfect, results can be disappointing. I had some horrendous results with a drum scanner in Manila recently. In many cases I prefer to scan the prints on a good flat bed scanner instead.
IQ lab has had a drop in quality lately, not only for scans, I think. I got them to push develop a Reala 100 which I exposed at 200 and it came out far too grainy and overexposed.
I think the whole of Asia is suffering these days as basically nobody uses film any more and the only places where you can find reasonable scanning and film processing services are HK and Singapore.

By the way, you can try and ask Marc Schultz, www.photographythailand.com, tell him I referred you to him.
