I have to echo the posters sentiments - my x-pro1 is on its way to being a bit of a beater as well, with paint missing at all 4 corners and a couple of dings, but it has proved flawless in reliability.:dance:

My silver Zeiss Ikon ZI was similar. The external wear it showed belies its solid and reliable performance.
The first thing to go on my Fuji X-Pro was the patch of rubber for the side grip. I just removed the built-in side grip entirely and reskinned my camera so it looks more like a traditional RF than ever.

It looks like the guy dragged his camera around by the strap on the ground. Bumpity-bump. He didn't know what to make of the OVF. Big surprise!
