Korea is a dynamic, exciting and at times a dogmatic and repetitive. I love it. For me when traveling the people I interact with are what leaves the most lasting impression in my mind. As an outsider looking in the Korean culture seems almost bipolar. The blend of old and new, cherished and forsaken, hospitality and disregard is seamless. More than anywhere else Korea was hard for me to get a reading on. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Korea and met up with at least one RFF member while I was there. I cannot wait to go back again. I know Korea often isn't on one's list of places to visit, but I highly recommend it. Each picture has more information posted if you click on it and follow the link to my flickr.
As for gear. I took my:
Nikon SP 2005 with Nikkor-N 5cm f/1.1,
BP Leica M2 and Zeiss Ikon with ZM 18/4 Distagon, 35/2 Cron IV, 35/1.4 Lux ASPH and 50/1.4 Lux
D700 with 18/2.8D, 28/1.4D and 58/1.2 Noct-NIkKOR
In the end I had to much equipment and I had a hard time maintaining a rhythm because of that.

Man, now I'm hungry for dog again. I need to make some whale meat curry for our BBQ meet-up.

Man that whale tasted so gross. I'll be eating dog and snake in Vietnam for sure.
Some interesting and lovely shots, Mister E; thanks!

Those dogs sure look tasty. Do they roast them?

I did not have any dog while I was there. I only found a restaurant serving it after I was already out of the area. These place wouldn't serve me because I was a foreigner. They advertise 'dog soju' on their sign in hangul. I'm believe they mostly boil the meat, but they might also roast it. It's illegal and mostly clandestine, but if you know where to look you can find it.

What a fantastic series of shots. Very well done!
It might have been a lot of gear, but it looks like you used it quite well.
Thanks for the compliment! In the future I plan to take much less gear with me. I really want to stick to one camera with no more than 4 lenses. I leave for Vietnam in less than two weeks and I am having a hard time planning to leave the GSW690III behind, but I don't want to haul it all over the country with a 35mm system too! :bang:
