Hi, I recently purchased a QL17 of ebay, 'In Good Working Order'

Now, having gone in on the top and adjusted the RF vertical image, gone in through the lens to free the stuck aperture blades, freed the ASA slider, cleaned all the glass, given the camera a good clean inside and out, rigged up a battery holder and inserted a battery only now would I describe it as in good working order and I hope good to go...

Posts on this and other sites have been a great help over the last few days, so thank you previous contributors!

However, one more issue remains, possibly. The camera has light seals in good nick on the end of the cover, on the body by the hinge and in the top and bottom grooves in the body.

Pictures I've seen show strips of light seal along the top and bottom of the door too, which aren't on this model but I believe those pictures are of GIII's. Can anyone confirm if the earlier model should also have light seals on the door please? It doesn't look like they've ever been present though.

I can't recall exactly what the seal set is like on your camera, as I recently gave mine to a buddy in PA. I'll contact him and see if he can tell me what the seals look like.

Okay, got the word back from Pennsylvania that the seals are exactly as you describe, which was what I thought I remembered. So just replace what you see, and leave the rest alone. Have you thought of getting a kit from Interslice on eBay? Oops, I'm sorry. I meant that hugely popular auction site that even RFf'rs have to admit they surreptitiously use.
