My Elmar-C 4/90 had developed slight haze on the inner side of the back glass element. I decided to leave it as it was, because I couldn't find out how to remove the back glass (no clamping rings to be unscrewed etc.).
Last night, while trying to unscrew a stuck filter, the whole optical part appeared to be just as simply screwed into the barrel as in Visoflex-fitting lenses as the old Elmarit 2,8/90: it just came loose.
After unscrewing the optical part from the barrel the cleaning was an easy fix:
* A shade ring can be slid off
* The back ring, with the hazed glass part fixed into it, can be screwed off by hand
* The inside of the glass part can now be cleaned. In my case it fortunately was no fungus, but probably evaporated grease, which could be removed easily. I took my time and did it very, very gently - I don't know if the glass can be pushed out of it's retaining ring very easily.
* Afterwards the ring with the back lens can be screwed back until it locks, which refits it into exactly the same position as it was mounted in Wetzlar.
My Elmar-C is crystal clear now.

Maybe this could help someone with identical problems (of course at own risk).
