Well-known
Fun to collect, but not a practical shooter.

The crème de la crème, is the single camera produced with a Gold shutter and matching golden coloured buckskin covering. As magnificent as that camera is, it is limited to using monochrome film unless of course one wanted to go through life photographing the world through gold coloured spectacles, due to the internal reflections within the optics.

Hi Folks, I think this might be a counterfeit a la some of the Gold Leica's around the place. It certainly isn't one of the commemorative issue referred to by the yashica guy.

This one is not the original GOLD limited edition since it doesn't have the commemorate inscription.

That shutter doesn't look gold to me.

As I understand it only 1 of the commemorative models had a gold shutter and also gold coloured leatherette. This was a one only camera. The remainder had standard shutters & leatherette. But the one on Ebay is not one of these. It is even a different model, recessed baseplate instead of full baseplate.
