Maybe it's a panda version, for Collectors Without Leicas. Mine is all black too.

I've seen cameras with description like "I have restored this to working condition, now selling because of whatever" so this one doesn't surprise me. When something is broken and donor camera doesn't match color, in case of rare cameras there are few choices - put them together or have two clunkers. If it works, who cares.
