Went to the mailbox today and there was a package hanging there (oh thank you, thank you , Ms. mailperson!) - it was my Electro 35CC from the Left Coast :) !

Cleaned him up and took his picture - ain't he cute?

I have one, great lens and very small with a quiet shutter! Congrats!

That's a nice one. Mine is weird though. The metering is kinda funny. There's a little haze on the meter window and I think it tricks it off. But nothing I can't fix in the printing :) Mine came with the neverready case and its fun to carry around with the case on. Mine always has Tri-X loaded in it and a light yellow filter.
 
Mine came with a never-ready case also, but boy is it beat! I hope to get some pictures soon - I loaded it with Kodak B\W 400 ASA - wihich leads me to a question.

My wife (bless her heart) came home with some B\W film cause she heard me say that I needed some. It's Kodak, I expected Tri-X but all it says on the box is "Kodak Black & White 400 Film" and "Process at any photofinisher with standard color processing Do not process in black and white chemicals ". I know I've been out of touch for a while but this seems a little odd.

Anyone ever use this type of film?

It uses C-41 chemistry. Take it to the 1 hour place and you'll get 4x6 (or size of choice) prints. You can theoretically, print the finished processed film using B&W papers but I think you'll need to have a lot more contrast filters. Not sure. I've used the Ilford XP2 stuff before which was okay.

It is a black and white film that uses the C-41 process. Ilford also makes one, the XP-2 Super, which I use when shooting black and white. Kodak used to have a name for its film but apparently it is now known as Black & White film. You should get good negatives. How good the prints will be will depend on the place making them. If your prints have a tint to them, usually purple, take them back and tell them to print them correctly.

Developing is not the problem. If there is a problem it will be in the way the printing is done.

I still remember when I took my black and white film to the pharmacy and they printed it on color paper. Blach.

Anyway, excellent purchase. I'm fixing to fix up my Yashica MG-1 and take it out for a test drive soon...gotta get a battery adapter first, though.

You really don't need an adapter. A battery with the numbers A32/A 164 work.

Thats the only way you will get these images printed at any "1 hour" type photofinishing set-up at chain Pharmacy or WalMart, Kmart, etc. They only have one style of processing machine, and it only processes color paper, and it can look like b/w if they know how to set the printer. Alas, there is a lack of training for most operators.

Hey, does anyone know if this is basically a Konica C35 body with Yashica 35mm lens? I've never seen one so I don't know what the size of the Yashica 35CC is, but it looks very much like the C35. If it's basically the same beast (or similar in size), it's a sweet little machine.

it's tiiiny. It's the canonet ql17 Giii size, more or less.
Oh what a great little black pearl. I really feel sorry that I've lost mine.
 
MrRanger - look forward to seeing the photos. I am interested to see if this is a (larger) viable alternative for an Oly XA, since it has an f1.8 35mm lens. From Pherdinand's comment, I would say it is not quite pocket sized.

I'm trying to hurry Trius! Anyway, here is a couple of quick shots of the CC with a Canon QL17 to give you a idea of it's size!
