Greetings Jim,
I bought this lens on "that" auction site a few years ago. It came inside a red cardboard box inscribed on the lid: Leitz Elmar 9cm "Elankup" Germany.
According to another forum this lens was produced in 1942.
Could you please give me some clue as to its' production and history; and whether or not the box may be correct for the time?
