Just spent a modest £190 on a new Voight 35mm f 2.5 Classic in silver .

I love it ! It's not my fave Fed '' Elmar '' style vintage but the 47 aprox focal length is ideal for general pics [ except building deetails ! ]

OK , the M 8 can handle a better lense , but this meets all that I need - and it looks great on the camera !

I also have the adapter for my 24 Rokkor on the way , and have a new old stock Sigma 24mm macro as well [ £20 , 'cos i bought the M8 and my new Digilux 3 from Len in London .

Can't wait to hit the smoke again on the way to work - emma with Voight trounces the new Leica Digilux box camera any time !

My r2a comes in tomorrow with the voigt 35 mm f/2.5 can't wait to get it out of the box. This will be my first rangefinder, sold my pentax k10d with 2 lenses and jumped into Lake Rangefinder head first. (kinda wishing i got the nokton 50 mm f/1.5)

I assume you're talking about one of the older screw mount Voigtlander Color-Skopars since I think those are the only ones available in silver. I have the M mount version and it pretty much lives on my M8. I have been fortunate enough to be able to compare it to a friends collection of Leica glass, including the 35 'lux and 'cron, and I have never once been disappointed by the Voigtlander. The image quality is exceptional, and you certainly can't complain about the price. It is one of, if not my most favorite lens.
