Hello Folks,
Does anyone know if the film holders for the Epson 3200 are the same as the 4990?
Best regards,
RoyM

They are not the same. The 4990 has a much larger scanning area for film so its holders can hold many more frames and thus place them in locations that the 3200 will not be able to "see."

You can use them and actually the 35mm holder where you slide the film in from the 3200 works much better for me than the frustrating flexy one that comes with the 4990. I still use that one.

Also, if you are doing 120, the holders from betterscanning (with or without ANR glass) are a HUGE improvement.

I always hear that holders from betterscanning are a big help or better than Epson manufacturer holders, i ordered one from betterscanning but i find it not that much help, i just use the Epson holder only now, i hope one day i will give that BS holder more experiment and then love it.

Have you got the ANR glass? I find it's that which makes the difference, no fiddling with bits of plastic, just drop the glass over the neg, and you've got a flat surface to scan, much better.
