Has anyone tried this combo? I just installed Aperture and it is not seeing the ERF files. Adobe Camera Raw does, no problem. I also have the 1.01 Aperture update.

I would have waited getting Aperture until it got all of its bugs out. Its raw converter is not very good yet. We did a test where I work comparing Aperture, C1 Pro, and CS2. Aperture gave the worst results on converting raw files, while C1 Pro and CS2 gave the best, with minor differences between them. Aperture recognizes very few cameras at the moment. If I recall correctly, Epson files was not on the list of supported cameras.

Here is a link to a review of Aperture at Luminous Landscape.

Recently I was able to try out Aperture 1.0 and 1.01.
I knew the R-D1 is not supported, so I converted several RAW-files to DNG.
To my surprize, Aperture also couldn't read the DNG-files.
So if you only shoot RAW on your R-D1, it does not seem to make sense to get Aperture.
But it works fine though with R-D1 jpeg's.

I'm an apple consultant, I need to know aperture even if I don't use it myself. I got it for $59 through Apple. I don't think it's worth $499 though maybe $199 or $299 but it really needs a high end machine to work hopefully the next version will be better, the new adobe lightroom looks pretty cool. In the meantime I can use aperture with my Canon 5D and 20D RAW files.
