Hi all,
I've been trying to solve this issue for the past 2h. for some reason, I can no longer scan film with my V700. I tried Epson Scan, Vuescan and Silverfast. None of the them allows me to set the media to film (or transparency). Is there something in the hardware that prevents me from selecting film as a media in the software? This started happening after Vuescan locked during a scan and I had to force quit it.
Please, if you have had this issue before and know a workaround, let me know what it is. This is getting beyond frustrating.
Thanks a lot

I know that with the 4490 you cannot select transparency/film unless the backlight is hooked up to the base scanner. I don't know if there is such an attachment for the V700, but, if there is, perhaps this fell out.

RFOBD,
THANK YOU! That's exactly what happened. Maybe I hadn't pushed the cable in as far as I should. Thank you mucho mucho!!!
