I've got two flashes right now, a sunpak 383 and a vivitar 283, use them with my canon dribble. I was looking at adding a third flash, and having it activate the other two via the "peanuts" (optical sensors that detect when a flash fires, so they tell the flash attached to to fire). While playing with the 430ex today, it was made known to me that I'd be unable to use the ettl metering with the peanuts, because the preflash would set the slaves off.
Sooo... what are my options? Do I just get another cheap flash? I'm new to all this! And that 430 is already pricey!
