The best camera is one that still works!
Interesting to say the least ... I also enjoyed the photos of Hitler's bunker.
Thanks for the link.

There is a documentary that runs regularly here on Discovery's The Military Channel; it's all based on this album. Thanks a lot for posting this, outside of the aforementioned TV show, I've only ever seen her home movies.
Edit: It's called Secrets Of WWII: Hitler's Last Days.

Thanks a lot for posting this. I'm slowly working my way through Speer's memories (freely available at archive.org), and these pictures are a nice addition to the text.

Anyone who likes this should check out Der Untergang (Downfall). It's a very good movie about the last days of The Third Reich. Based mostly on one of A.H's secretaries Traudl Jung's account, it's supposedly very accurate and definitely does match up with most of the books I've read on the subject. Good acting, probably one of the best cinematic portrayals of Adolf Hitler although some may be uneasy with the gentle, almost heroic treatment it gives some SS figures who helped in the final defense of Berlin.

Yeah... I think the Lady Gaga spoof is my favorite though.

It has always disturbed me that that jerk Adolph could have a seemingly successful relationship with any women, especially with an attactive one.

It wasn't too successful.. and it was hidden from the public for his entire time in power.

He obviously had some sort of indefinable charisma to lead a nation into the events of WWll ... it must have worked on women as well!

A fabulous mustache goes quite a way in any situation.

I hope this is not one of those trick threads to bring out Hitler fans out of the shadows...
Imo Hitler is an ugly caricature, a failed artist and a genocidal psychopath, thats all i have to say about him.

It wasn't a sucessful relationship.. she was suicidal for most of it, in large part due to his behavior towards her.

Quit true, women do go for some crazy quirks (Charlie Sheen?????). Of course, us men go for what is, well, well documented.

Are there a lot of trick Hitler threads on RFF? I'm new here.
I guess I'm naive in thinking that it goes without saying that I'm not a "Hitler fan". I would've been a prime target for Dachau for more than one reason.

The Third Reich provided for some great photography didn't it?
Robert Capa stormed Normandy with a german made camera!
