No, Never saw them prior to your post. They seem high on what I know about and there is some little niggling undefinable something in the back of my mind saying "stay away". I wish I could put my finger on it, but I can't so it's doubly worthless real worlld.
OTOH, just because you're paranoid...

I have the same feeling as William on this. I noticed they still have CV 35mm P!. All major retailers have already sold out on it and where did they get theirs? Noticed also they do not have R2 and CV 50mm Nokton.
No pictures of the items that I looked at, and some were priced way to high.

Ok, thanks. I don't like the "no pictures" either. I guess I should go with the old saying...if you have to ask....stay away.

It looks like the owner is operating out of an apartment on West 72 St. in Manhattan. On the other hand it might be a second story shop as they have those in that neighborhood, which is pretty upscale by the way, but not way, way upscale. I shall have a look next time I'm in Manhattan which will be next Wednesday

The most recent feedback is from last November, but it's only one. All the others are from 2001 and earlier. Let's see what Kurt will report back....

Well because Wednesday is supposed to be very cold I did my investigation today and brought along my digicam to document what I saw. It was a pretty nice day and I thought I would also take some pictures of places like B&H, Adorama, etc. Well I got no furthe than B&H when the curse of the Batterino struck and my digicam died. Turned out to be suddenly dead batteries.
Anyway, Camera traders whose address is given as 119 W. 72 St. turns out to be a postbox service which is part of a UPS store.
It is located at that address which is a storefront at 121 W. 72 St.
I suppose that Erwin Muth who operates Cameratraders finds it convenient to both gets his business mail and ship from there, but we have no knowledge of where he really operates from. picures follow. The next pictures are of that location taken today before my batteries pooped.

In case someone chooses to visit the non existant Camera traders address, all may not be lost. Down the block a bit on th opposite side of the street is...............

Here is B&H's superstore. It occupies the whole block in what was previously a gym operated by the adjacent Sloane House (pictured to the left of B&H). Sloane house was a reasonably priced women's hotel with other facilities operated by the YWCA.
It was sold some yares ago and is now condos. B&H extends into a good piece of what was the Sloan House lobby. Prior to being the Sloane House gym the building was a block long row of storefronts.

From the exact same position as the last photo I made a slight turn to the left and voila; the majestic Empire State Building. My camera died after this shot.

As a follow up to my visit I checked out the phone number given on the website of cameratraders. It belongs not to Erwin Muth who is given as the proprietor but to an M. Raskas. The address is 33 W. 71 St. not far from the UPS store and closer (and therefore more prestigious) to Central Park West which is a very fancy street in Manhattan. The feedback is quite good in any case, so perhaps we should not be concerned with the living arrangements of Mr. Muth or the fact that he uses a UPS mailbox.
Keep in mind that running a business from a residential apartment in NYC can be cause for eviction and an external mailbox will mask that.

This should be notice to us all to stay on Kurt's good side.
He obviously has ways to find things out.
