Experience with non-Asph Leica 90mm F2.0 Summicron

Hi

Does anyone have experience of using a Summicron 90mm pre-Asph lens with the RD-1?

I read somewhere that the lens obscures the viewfinder - would be interested in views on this and any other feedback.
