Expired D-76 (still in powder)

If it were in cans like the old days, it would be ok.. Bags don`t keep nearly as well and you could run into problems with short life after mixing like I did with Xtol before they dated it.

Think you have 95% chance of it being ok. Watch the color as it ages.

I still have a can Microdol-X, for 600ml developer. It came together with an Agfa Isolette camera which is from the end 50's beginning 60's. I think concerning the packing it's about the same age. If you shake the can you can hear the powder. Maybe a nice developer test Microdol-X versus W665. Maybe a little bit expired: 50 years..........
 
I'm sure it's still usable, but once you mix it, be quick: it won't last for long.

If it turns yellow, it's still OK. I used D-76 already mixed, 4-months-old, yellowish, and still got my film developed. Of course, since I didn't know how soon I would develop again, I threw it away. However, I think it would have worked for the following week.
