Hi,

The title pretty much says it all. I have been offered the above for $500 in a local sale. I will describe the condition as below:

500 C/M: intact leatherette, no dings. Minor scratches from normal use.

WLF: with the old screen (not the Minolta matte). While opening the WLF, the side plates don't align properly right away, the left one comes loose off the little projection but it doesn't take a lot to put it in place. Finder not so bright but I was able to focus in indoor lighting.

Planar 80 2.8 T: normal marks on the barrel, glass pristine front and back. Shutter fires appropriately and aperture blades are clean. No hood. Lens cap broken. Focus smooth. (Didn't expect focus throw to be so long 🙁).

A12 back: didn't know how to look for matching insert but the seller says it works.

I have a day to decide. Will appreciate any thoughts/comments.

Thx.

Seems reasonable provided it all works properly ... I have a similar setup which owes me a little more than that.

Price is decent if everything checks out and the camera functions normally.

The WLF not opening properly would annoy me, I have to say. I'm not sure I understand exactly what is not aligning but could you simply fix it by buying a replacement WLF?

This is the first time I have handled a Hasselblad, so I might not be completely right in my description.
When you open the WLF, there are 2 very thin metal plates on either side. Those plates have holes on the corner which align with little projections on either side. The left one doesn't sit properly as the WLF opens, I had to align the hole and the projection with my finger to make it sit properly. Does that answer your question?

Mine does that occasionally ... I can't say it bothers me though! 🙂

Yup, gotcha 🙂

The good news is you can grab a replacement WLF from Keh for not too much money (that is, if it bothers you). And also, it's not a mechanical problem with the screen or body which makes the price quite good!

Our beater Hassy's at B&H go for like $899 min with a non T* C type lens, so that's a good deal. Swap out the WLF and get a prism and a bright screen and you're golden!

Oh, if this is your first Hoogenblugen, those lenses need hoods. Like for real they need hoods. My contrast improved GREATLY once I started using the Pro Shade.
