In Jan I return to the States for R&R. I'd like to get a Nikon SP body. What's a fair price for:

SP chrome
titainium shutter curtians
no major dings
excelent clear viewfinder

I will use it to take pictures! 😀

I won't have a lot of time to locate one so I just want to pay a fair price and be done with it.

Thanks!

Tony,

Just a heads up, the reissued SP (and S3) have cloth curtains. Coming from Leica Ms this was not a deal stopper for me. I got a new S3 2000 with the 50 and love it. I would have preferred and SP but could not do the funds. If you like 35mm lenses, the 35/1.8 is said to be stellar.

For about $1200 or so you can get an unused S3-2000 with 501/1.4 lens. While not an SP, it's a darn good camera.

If you can not find one on the list here, drop me a note and I will pass along the contact where I got mine from.

Thanks for your service and Gods speed.

Unused S3 2000 for $1200 with Millenium lens?? I haven't seen them that low...lens alone is going about $900 on ebay. I sold a used body (with two dings) for $1050.

McKeown's lists a Chrome price range as $55 - 85 and a Black as $150 - 200.

I have a chrome. Great camera! 😀
Maybe you mean this???

$1,200 for an S3 2000 + Millennium Nikkor-S 50/1.4 would be an amazing deal. I'm guessing you meant the body only, right Bill?
