I'm slowly building a FTb kit. I have the body CLA'd by Ken Oikawa. 50mm and 24mm lenses. Thinking about something similar to Nikon's 28-105 AFD. Anything like that in the FD catalog that is nice and sharp?

Well, the FD 35-105mm f3.5 is pretty good for the money.

Dear WJ,
I have 28-105 and 70-210 Vivitar Series One lenses in both Nikon AI and Canon FD mount and I like the results I get from them. They are inexpensive too.
Rumor has it that the best versions are the Komine built versions that have a 9xxxx serial number but while mine do have that serial number I can't say if they are better than the others?

The 80-200/4L is one of the sharpest Canon CD lenses. Truely amazing lens.
